Are locarb Diets bad or good for weight reduction Success?
Everybody has heard of low carb diets — since they are rising as the latest trend in dieting.
But do they work? …And if so, are they the answer to weight reduction that everyone is looking for? We do not think so, because most locarb diets have many issues which make shedding weight really tricky for the average dieter.
For example, if you follow the Atkins diet ( a well-liked low carbohydrate program ) then the limitation on carbohydrates for the 1st couple weeks is very serious ( by virtually any standards ). The Atkins program permits just twenty grams of “net carbs” per day in the first part of the diet ( which usually lasts for two weeks ). Just to offer you an idea of how few carbohydrates that truly is even a giant apple has more than twenty grams of “net carbs”. This low level of carbohydrates is sometimes too serious for the average dieter to put up with for two weeks straight, and in truth eating such a low level of carbs can make someone feel feeble and unhappy all day 24×7 ( because you need more carbohydrates than that for energy ). Other low carbohydrate diets ( like the South Beach Diet ) aren’t quite as serious as the Atkins Plan, but in our assessment even the South Beach Diet isn’t as easily followed as it may be. We think a successful diet must be easily followed because that is the sole way that folk will stick to the diet and shed pounds. We believe that diets shouldn’t make average folks feel unhappy and weak all day 24×7, because if a diet makes folk feel unhappy and puny then it should be awfully hard for average dieters to stick to such programs.
We are not asserting that all locarb diets are as restrictive as the Atkins Diet is, but we are pronouncing that most locarb diets are so difficult to follow that average dieters will generally wind up hungry and puny all day 24×7 ( which is not a nice thing for dieting success in our estimation ). We think that low carbohydrates isn’t the answer to shedding weight, since the body requires a fair quantity of all 3 kinds of calories to lose weight constantly ( protein, carbohydrates, and fat ). The reality is that you need a fair quantity of protein, carbohydrates and fat calories too. To lose pounds quickly you should eat all three kinds of calories in the right proportions, and that’s the reason why most dieters fail. They fail because no-one knows what the right proportions of calories should be.
